Powertrain Analysis
The Phase 2 powertrain uses a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter V6 with 24 valves. Peak output is 255 PS, equivalent to 251 hp, delivered at 7,150 rpm. Peak torque is 300 Nm, equivalent to 221 lb-ft, delivered at 4,650 rpm.
The V6 is mounted in the middle of the vehicle, directly behind the front seating area. This installation replaces the rear passenger compartment and establishes a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive configuration.
A six-speed manual transmission transfers the V6 output to the rear wheels. The powertrain combines 255 PS and 300 Nm with an approximately 5.8-second 0–100 km/h acceleration time and a 246 km/h top speed.
Chassis & Dynamics
The Clio V6 uses a rear-wheel-drive layout with the engine concentrated behind the driver and passenger. The rear cabin area is dedicated to the V6 installation, while the passenger compartment is configured for two occupants.
Front and rear tracks are widened relative to the standard compact-hatch profile. Flared front and rear wheel arches provide the body clearance required by the widened track arrangement.
Side air intakes behind the doors channel air into the mid-engine bay. The front bodywork incorporates redesigned air intakes, and the rear roof section carries a compact spoiler above the twin central exhaust outlets.
Dimensions & Practicality
The cabin has two seats, with the engine occupying the area normally used for rear passengers. The interior layout reserves the passenger compartment for the driver and front passenger.
Sport seats use leather and Alcantara upholstery. The driver controls include an aluminum gearshift knob and drilled alloy pedals, paired with the six-speed manual transmission.
The hatchback body incorporates enlarged wheel arches, door-mounted side air scoops, a rear roof spoiler and a central dual-exhaust rear fascia. The exterior modifications support the mid-engine package and widened tracks.
