Powertrain Analysis

The P400 powertrain uses a 3.0-liter Ingenium inline-six architecture with turbocharging, a 48-volt electric supercharger, and a mild-hybrid electrical system. Output is rated at 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. The P400 uses an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission with CommandShift and intelligent all-wheel drive.

The P550e plug-in hybrid combines a 3.0-liter inline-six engine, an electric motor, and a high-capacity battery. Total system output is 542 hp. The electric component enables pure-electric operation at low-load urban driving conditions, while the all-wheel-drive system distributes propulsion across both axles.

The P530 and SV configurations use a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8. P530 output is 523 hp, while SV configurations exceed 606 hp. All listed powertrains use the same 8-speed automatic transmission and intelligent all-wheel-drive layout.

Chassis and Dynamics

The chassis uses electronic air suspension with Dynamic Response Pro. The air suspension adjusts vehicle ride height and suspension response for road and off-road operation. Terrain Response 2 integrates selectable terrain control with Adaptive Dynamics and permanent all-wheel-drive operation.

Standard all-wheel steering provides up to 7.3 degrees of rear-wheel steering angle. At lower speeds, the rear wheels steer opposite to the front wheels to reduce the turning circle. At higher speeds, rear-wheel steering operates in phase with the front axle to support directional stability.

Exterior aerodynamic details include flush door handles, smooth body surfacing, and vertical rear lamps that remain concealed until illuminated. The cockpit integrates a 13.1-inch curved floating-glass Pivi Pro touchscreen and a 13.7-inch configurable Interactive Driver Display with full-screen navigation capability.

Interior Technology

The infotainment system uses a 13.1-inch curved Pivi Pro touchscreen positioned as the primary central display. The 13.7-inch Interactive Driver Display supports configurable instrument layouts and full-screen navigation mapping.

Active Noise Cancellation is integrated into the headrests to reduce road and wind noise within the cabin. Interior trim materials include authentic wood veneers, machined aluminum accents, sustainable upholstery alternatives, and semi-aniline leather.
