Powertrain Analysis

The M20B20 is a 1,990 cc naturally aspirated inline-six with a single overhead camshaft and 12 valves. Peak output is 129 hp, equivalent to 95 kW, at 6,000 rpm. Peak torque is 164 Nm, equivalent to 121 lb-ft, at 4,300 rpm.

Bosch Motronic electronic fuel injection supplies the M20B20. The longitudinal inline-six powertrain routes output to the rear wheels through either a 5-speed Getrag manual transmission or a 4-speed ZF automatic transmission.

The manual configuration provides five forward ratios, while the automatic configuration provides four forward ratios. Both gearbox options retain the rear-wheel-drive layout.

Chassis & Dynamics

The front suspension uses an independent MacPherson-strut arrangement. The rear suspension uses semi-trailing arms, combining independent wheel movement at the front with the E30 rear semi-trailing-arm architecture.

Four-wheel disc brakes provide braking hardware at both axles. Anti-lock braking system control is included with the disc-brake system.

The custom exterior package uses bolt-on widebody fender flares to cover wide deep-dish mesh wheels. Polished wheel lips provide a contrasting finish against the dark graphite body color.

The front fascia incorporates a deep bumper, enlarged lower air intakes and a carbon-fiber splitter. The vented hood uses two louvered sections and quick-release hood pins.

Dimensions & Practicality

The body configuration is a two-door convertible with an open roof structure. Saddle tan leather upholstery is specified for the cabin.

The rear bumper integrates a rear diffuser, a lip spoiler and a quad-pipe exhaust arrangement. The front and rear aerodynamic components are paired with widened fender coverage and deep-dish wheel fitment.
