Powertrain Analysis
The Brabus Crawler uses a 4,407 cc V8 with twin turbochargers and a maximum output of 900 HP, equivalent to 662 kW, at 6,200 rpm. Peak torque is rated at 1,250 Nm, with electronic control limiting delivered torque to 1,050 Nm or 774 lb-ft.
A SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G 9-speed automatic transmission transfers output through a permanent all-wheel-drive system. Electronically controlled differential locks supplement the AWD layout on low-traction surfaces.
With an approximately 2,065 kg curb weight and 900 HP, the Crawler has a calculated power-to-weight ratio of 2.29 kg per horsepower. The vehicle reaches 100 km/h from rest in 3.4 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 160 km/h to protect the 40-inch off-road tires.
Chassis and Dynamics
The chassis is a high-strength tubular steel spaceframe finished in Brabus Red/Orange. Exposed carbon-fiber body elements cover the frame, while the body configuration excludes conventional doors, side windows, and a windshield.
Heavy-duty portal axles are installed at both the front and rear. This axle configuration produces 530 mm, or 20.8 inches, of ground clearance beneath the vehicle.
Height-adjustable aluminum coilover dampers provide up to 160 mm of spring travel. The suspension operates with 20-inch Brabus Monoblock HD forged beadlock wheels and 40-inch heavy-duty off-road tires.
A lightweight carbon roof panel incorporates an LED light bar. The roof-mounted lighting system is positioned above the four-seat cockpit.
Dimensions and Practicality
The Crawler has four individual full-carbon bucket seats. Each seat uses Silvertex upholstery with waterproof and UV-resistant properties for open-cockpit operation.
A Lowrance GPS navigation unit is mounted in front of the co-driver. Four Brabus carbon-fiber helmets include integrated two-way headsets for communication among all four occupants.
