Powertrain Analysis
At the heart of the new Q7 is the 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine. The high-performance variant offers 299 hp and 64.24 kgf·m of torque, while the standard variant produces 245 hp and 50.99 kgf·m. Both variants come standard with the MHEV Plus system and an electric supercharger.
The MHEV Plus assists with a traction motor that delivers 24 hp and 37.72 kgf·m of torque. This configuration enhances response during starts and accelerations in overtaking maneuvers. The electric supercharger generates a maximum boost pressure of 3.4 bar.
The powertrain operates with a combination of all-wheel drive (AWD) and automatic transmission. The core of the system is the combined structure of the diesel engine, the electrification assistance system, and the EPC; the MHEV diesel variant will be launched first in the European market.

Chassis and Drivetrain
The suspension consists of a standard specification of steel springs, an adaptive air suspension with electronically controlled damping, and a sport adaptive air suspension that lowers the body height by 30 mm. The air suspension specification keeps the body level according to driving conditions and includes a lift function for off-road driving.
In landing mode, the body height is automatically lowered by up to 62 mm. As a numerical function designed to facilitate entry and exit, the body height control range is clear. The braking system consists of 400 mm discs with 6-piston fixed calipers at the front and 350 mm discs at the rear.
20-inch wheels are standard, while 21, 22, and 23-inch wheels are available as options. A combination of large-diameter discs and large wheels is offered to match the heavy-duty premium SUV. The vehicle body is manufactured at the Bratislava plant in Slovakia.

Interior, Seating and Cargo Capacity
The standard configuration is 5 seats, with 6 and 7 seat options available. All seats have electric adjustment, and the 5 and 7 seat models accommodate three child seats side-by-side in the second row. The second-row seats have electric sliding and 65:35 or 35:30:35 split folding.
Cargo space is 806 liters for the 5-seater model and 2,075 liters with the rear seats fully folded down. The 7-seater model offers 722 liters with the third row folded down and 1,980 liters with the second row also folded down. An aluminum rail system is available as an option for the trunk floor.
Interior convenience features are quite numerous. The center console features a wireless charger that charges two smartphones simultaneously at 25W each, in addition to dedicated air vents. USB-C ports are located in the backrests of the front seats and in the third row; charging power reaches 60W for the rear seats and up to 100W for the third row. The audio system is a Bang & Olufsen 4D sound system with 22 speakers and a maximum power of 1,360W. It includes a dedicated passenger display, dynamic interaction lights that extend across the entire width of the dashboard, and a panoramic sunroof with 9 levels of transparency adjustment.

Driver Assistance and Safety Features
Standard and optional ADAS features include Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, 360° Camera, and Intelligent Parking Assist. Trailer Maneuvering Assist, Trailer Stability Control (TSC), and Integrated Trailer Brake Control are also included.
The Shoulder Driving Assist system takes control of the vehicle when the driver is unresponsive, steering the vehicle to the shoulder and gradually reducing speed until it stops. Lane Departure Warning has Normal and Mitigation modes, intervening through steering wheel vibration, red graphic alerts, and automatic steering correction. The digital Matrix LED headlights integrate lane departure warning, position lights, and dynamic turn signals. When a vehicle is detected in a blind spot, the lane indicator lights emit a warning, and the pedestrian recognition assistance lighting function is also integrated.

Platform Design and Specifications
The front of the vehicle features a Singleframe grille and new air intakes, while the rear features third-generation digital OLED taillights and a light strip that extends across the entire width of the vehicle. The D-pillar was designed to be almost vertical, making the roofline almost horizontal.
The interior as a whole is centered on the geometric unity of the dashboard and door trims, ambient lighting, and a digital interface. Fully automatic doors are optional and support remote control via the myAud app.
