Powertrain Analysis
The 2025 Porsche Macan 4S Electric uses two permanently excited synchronous motors, with one motor mounted at the front axle and one at the rear axle. The dual-motor layout operates through fully variable electronic all-wheel drive and produces 442 hp (330 kW) in standard operation.
Launch Control raises total system output to 509 hp, equivalent to 380 kW or 516 PS. Peak torque is rated at 605 lb-ft (820 Nm). The Macan 4S Electric accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, with a 149 mph (240 km/h) top speed.
The PPE architecture integrates a 100 kWh gross lithium-ion battery with 95 kWh of usable capacity. Its 800-volt electrical system supports DC charging at up to 270 kW, completing a 10% to 80% DC charge in approximately 21 minutes on a compatible 800-volt charger.
When connected to a 400-volt DC charging station, the battery uses bank charging technology that divides the high-voltage battery into two 400-volt battery sections. This configuration enables high-rate charging on 400-volt infrastructure without an additional high-voltage booster.
Chassis and Dynamics
The Macan 4S Electric is built on the Premium Platform Electric architecture. Porsche Active Suspension Management uses electronically controlled damping to continuously adjust suspension response to road conditions and selected driving parameters.
Optional adaptive air suspension provides variable ride height. Lower ride-height settings support aerodynamic efficiency at higher speeds, while increased ride-height settings provide additional clearance on uneven surfaces.
Optional rear-axle steering turns the rear wheels by up to 5 degrees. The system reduces the turning circle at lower speeds and increases directional stability at higher speeds.
Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus uses an electronically controlled rear differential lock. The differential system manages rear-wheel traction and lateral dynamics during acceleration and cornering.
Digital Cockpit Systems
The driver instrument display uses a curved 12.6-inch digital cluster positioned within the driver’s primary forward view. The configurable display provides vehicle information through a fully digital interface.
The central infotainment system uses a 10.9-inch touchscreen and Android Automotive OS. Navigation functions integrate charging route planning for the 100 kWh high-voltage battery system.
An optional 10.9-inch passenger display provides separate media, infotainment, and navigation functions for the front passenger. The augmented reality head-up display projects turn directions and driver-assistance graphics onto the windshield.
