Powertrain Analysis

The FA24 is a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder SUBARU BOXER engine rated at 235 PS, equivalent to approximately 228 hp, at 7,000 rpm. Peak torque is 250 Nm, equivalent to 184 lb-ft, at 3,700 rpm.

Two six-speed transmissions are specified: a close-ratio manual transmission and an automatic transmission. The six-speed automatic uses steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Power is delivered exclusively to the rear axle. The rear-wheel-drive layout uses a Torsen limited-slip rear differential for torque distribution between the rear wheels.

Chassis & Dynamics

The front suspension uses STI-tuned Hitachi Astemo SFRD dampers. SFRD denotes Sensitive Frequency Response Damper technology, with front damper calibration specific to the STI Sport.

The rear suspension receives STI-specific damper optimization. The front SFRD and rear damper calibrations target cornering stability and controlled ride response.

Brembo brake hardware is fitted at the front and rear axles. Both axles use ventilated brake rotors, with braking specification focused on repeated high-load operation.

The STI Sport runs 18-inch dark metallic aluminum alloy wheels. The wheel package is fitted with high-grip performance tires.

Driver Interface & Interior Equipment

The instrument panel incorporates a 7-inch customizable digital instrument cluster. The display includes an STI startup animation and a dedicated Track display mode.

The seating upholstery combines black and burgundy Ultrasuede and leather. Red contrast stitching and embroidered STI accents are integrated into the cabin trim specification.

Driver-contact equipment includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a red STI push-button start switch. Dashboard trim uses dark metallic finish elements.

Subaru EyeSight driver-assistance equipment includes pre-collision braking and adaptive cruise control. The system is specified with both six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission configurations.
